2026 Update – God has been making an impact through what we are learning!

U P D A T E

This is an update from the Hall’s to share about how SBS has been going and how God has been making an impact through what we are learning.

We started this school 6 months ago expecting to grow in our biblical understanding, grow closer to God, and to build a foundation for our family. God has met those expectations and surpassed them!

T H E I N D U C T I V E M E T H O D

The school of SBS uses the inductive method to study the bible. This consists of Observation, Interpretation, and Application. These steps help us understand what the text is actually saying, what the author was trying to convey, and how it applies to us today.

This means we are reading God’s word without premature conclusions and really allowing the text to speak for itself.

H I G H L I G H T S

Our favorite part of SBS has been getting to study the Old Testament. We’ve gotten to see God’s steadfast love for his people. How from the beginning and all throughout the old testament God’s hope and promises all point forward to Jesus.

I have never read the entire bible and have come to realize just how important understanding the old testament is in order to understand the new testament.

I have been impacted by God’s unchanging character. From Genesis onwards God is seen as one who is mighty, sovereign, and compassionate. As He interacts with individuals these are the attributes that they recognize and call back to even generations later. While man proves to be unfaithful to their creator, God never breaks the promises He makes and fulfills all of them in His Son, Jesus.

3 M O R E M O N T H S !

We have gone through 41 books of the bible and in the next 3 months will cover the books of the prophets, Revelation, and will end with the Gospel of Matthew. We are so excited to discover more of God’s character as we finish these final 3 months of SBS!
